POISE General Scholarships are for students from Pittsburgh, PA, Allegheny County
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for POISE General Scholarships, the recipient must reside in Allegheny County, be a U.S citizen and be accepted or currently attend a two-year or four-year university, post secondary technical or trade school. Limited funding is available for graduate studies. African American students are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants may attend schools throughout the United States.
Scholarship Amounts
Scholarship amounts vary, typically between $500 - $1,500 per scholarship. POISE Foundation provides approximately 5 POISE General scholarships per cycle (Spring and Fall of each year).
Application Timelines
POISE accepts applications during two cycles per year: Spring and Fall.
